Introduction
Program Team Design
Content
Successful Agile Transformational Team share two common traits, they’re empowered to determine how best to achieve their goals and consist of cross-discipline staff, where technical and commercial staff co-own, co-design, co-create and co-deliver and support the entire program life cycle. Creating a cross-discipline agile program team calls for the adoption of a Competency Led Agile Team Design Framework.
The framework steers the organisation to:
Define a series of near and long-term goals, for example, objective and key results
Document the entire value chain required to produce the offering, process, product or solution
Identify the core competencies needed within each of the main value chain stages
Work with the resource team to determine which roles hold the necessary competencies
Appoint the core Agile Team roles, including, a Product Owner, a Scrum Master and a small number of subject matter experts
Determine the level of engagement needed from the other supporting roles.
When considering the adoption of Competency Led Agile Team Design Framework, Monetical also recommends organisations consider the following activities:
Project to Product Line Organisational Structure Transition
Data Driven Objective and Key Results Product Backlog Prioritisation Mechanism
Setting Agile Team Allocation Limits to Reduce Staff Context Switching
