NHS Alfresco Implementation Turn Around in Just 12 weeks
15th August 2011, Monetical Limited, Cambridge, UK, the sole provider of a Community System Integrator Service tailored for Alfresco, gains praise following the contribution it made turning around the fortunes of an Alfresco implementation at the NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement.
After 6 months into the Alfresco implementation, the NHS called time on the appointed traditional system integrators for failing to meet a number of important milestones. Monetical were then approached to turn around the project and to ensure confidence in their choice of content management system was not eroded further.
"Monetical provided the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement immediate and cost effective access to the right Agile processes and Alfresco skilled resources necessary to turn around our Alfresco implementation", states Dr Nick Gaunt Chief Information & Knowledge Officer. "Based on this early success, Monetical involvement in the project was extended to include supporting the design and definition of our strategic roadmap, which will see Alfresco become a core component of our knowledge management strategy”. Nick went onto report.
“Enabling Alfresco customers to gain immediate and cost effective access to the right Agile processes, skilled Alfresco resources and project work-packs in this way, allows the customer to retain full ownership of their Alfresco implementation,” John Abram Monetical Managing Consultant explains. “Unlike recruitment agencies who are simple body-shops or traditional system integrators who are expensive and seem to work in an environment of secrecy, our on-demand Agile life cycle tools and an ever-growing repository of project best practices available to each project within the Alfresco community fuels commercial and operational efficiency.”
